I studied Scientific Programming at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences an received my bachelor's degree in 2010. Parallel to the bachelor studies I was educated as mathematical and technical Software Engineer (MATSE) at the Chair of Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems of RWTH Aachen University in an integrated degree program. Onwards I studied Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Knowledge Engineering of Maastricht University and received my master's degree with honors in 2012. Between 2014 and my graduation in 2021 I was a PhD student in the Learning Technologies Research Group of RWTH Aachen University where Prof. Ulrik Schroeder was my supervisor. During the master studies and until January 2024 I worked at the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University, first as a sofware developer and later as lecturer in the MATSE education.
In February 2024 I was appointed as an Assistant Professor for Computing Sciences at the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences of Maastricht University and work also at Brightlands Institute for Smart Society as a researcher.
